SOUTH BEND - The LaVille boys golf team participated in the Indiana High School Athletic Association South Bend Riley Sectional. Erskine Park played host to 11 schools, all vying to become the top three teams and top three individuals not on an advancing team for the June 12 at Sandy Pines GC, hosted by Lake Central High School. Elkhart, Trinity Greenlawn, and South Bend Saint Joseph advanced as the top three teams. The Lancers sent three golfers to the IHSAA golf sectional in South Bend, all with the goal of doing the best they could and finish the season strong. Sophomore Adam Aschenbrenner carded a 44 on the front side, before finishing up with a 45 on the back for a round of 89. It was just one shot off his season best 88, which came June 3 at the LaVille Invitational at Swan Lake. Senior Jalen Heilman closed out his high school golf career with a 118, while sophomore Liam Stough came in with a round of 126.
