The IHSAA has designated Week #52 (corresponds to the week of July 4th) of the IHSAA calendar as a moratorium time where there are not athletic activities, including conditioning, conducted. During this 7-day period, there shall be no contact between athletes and coaches. Newton Park in Lakeville, IN, is hosting "America's 250th Birthday Celebration" on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The free community event features family fun, food trucks, inflatables, and giveaways, with Cook & Belle performing live at 8:00 PM and a fireworks display scheduled for dusk.
