KNOX - The LaVille softball team returned to conference play Tuesday at Knox. LHS battled before suffering a 13-2 loss to the Redskins. Knox continues to ride atop the Indiana Northern State Conference standings with two games remaining. Faith Mejer led Coach Garrett McBride's club with a double, a run scored, and two stolen bases. Grace McBride and Kylah Bell also singled for the Lancers. Lauren Hobkirk tossed four innings for LaVille, walking two and striking out one in suffering the loss in the circle. McBride's crew moves to 4-13 overall and are still looking for their first win in loop play. LaVille continues a busy week with a home INSC game May 14 at Newton Park followed by the Plymouth Invitational May 16 at Centennial Park.
