LaVille Boys’ Track headed to Walkerton with the bitterness of losing the Lancer Relays by a narrow margin to Fairfield a week earlier. Once the Lancers stepped off the bus, it was all business. The night began with a season person best and a 3rd place finish from the 3200M Relay team; from there, the Lancers took first place or picked up points in every event to keep the momentum going. Lance Edison led scoring with 30 points from individual events and contributed another 10 with his part in the 1600M Relay win. Dylan Miller followed with 24, and anchor contributions to the 4x400M Relay. Freshman thrower, Austin King, chipped in two second-place finishes from the throwing rings. Sprinter, Konnor Amor, picked up several points individually and on both the 400M & 1600M Relay teams. Ryan Maenhout joined Amore on the 400M Relay team, but finished the night with an impressive 13’ vault that secured his name in the Dennis Rippy Record Book, breaking Lancer Alumn, Lincoln Hulsey’s 2024 Record. LaVille Track begins the tournament season on Wednesday with the INSC Championship meet. Field events are slated to begin at 5:30. Boys will begin with Discus, High Jump, and Co-Ed Cafeteria Style Long Jump.
