BAUGO TOWNSHIP - LaVille softball battled Indiana Northern State Conference rival Jimtown Tuesday before dropping a 11-1 decision. Senior Lexis Owens led the Lancer offense with two hits and one run scored. Faith Mejer smacked a double. Kylah Bell, Lexi McQueen, and Sydney Williams all had singles for LaVille. Lauren Hobkirk tossed three innings, walking three, and striking out three and suffered the loss in the circle. LHS is now 3-4 overall and 0-2 in INSC play. Coach Garrett McBride's club will play host to conference rival Knox on April 23 at Newton Park.
