LAKEVILLE - Looking to finish the 2025-26 strong, LaVille returns to the hardwood for a non-conference high school basketball game on February 19. Whitko comes to town for a junior varsity tip at 6pm, with the varsity contest to follow. The Wildcats enter with a 6-12 overall record following a 57-42 loss to Northwestern.  Chandler Cox scored 15 points and Hunter Long added 12 as Whitko lost its fifth straight game. Whitko has used a balanced offensive attack so far this season, led by Cox at 9.2 points per game. Long and Ethan Yates also contribute 8.5 points per outing each, followed by Davin Day 6.7 and Caden Deneve 6.6 ppg. Coach Drew Benedict's team averages 50.3 points per game, while allowing 55.4 a game.  The Wildcats are 6-2 when scoring at least 50 points in a game. LaVille is 13-8 overall after a 51-50 victory over Trinity Academy on February 17.  Lance Edison averages 2o ppg with Gonzales adding nine and Braedyn Foster chipping in six. Foster is coming off a career high 17 points, adding 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Coach Michael Edison's club averages 49.2 ppg and are 8-2 when scoring at least 49 points.  The Lancers allow 46.9 defensively and have won nine of 14 games since January 1. It's GAMEDAY!
